< Elution by sulfuric acid >
It is known to elute boric acid from the exhausted resin by using hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid. The following figure shows the elution profile by 5% sulfuric acid.

There contains much chloride or sulfate in the above eluted solution.
The following shows the typical treatment for the separation of boric acid and sulfuric acid by weakly basic anion resin.
